Accuracy

Astronomical times and positions are calculated in your browser with the open-source astronomy-engine library and are accurate to about a minute for most places. Real sightings can differ because of hills, buildings, weather and the atmosphere. Do not rely on this site for navigation, safety or any other critical use.

Religious and cultural dates

Festival dates follow the rules described on each page. Families, temples and communities sometimes follow different rules or local announcements. When they differ, follow your own tradition or religious authority.

Astrology

Astronomy is a science. Astrology, folk names and traditions are shown as cultural traditions, for interest, and are not predictions or advice.
